Counting by 2’s Practice Sheet – Kindergarten Prep – FREE PRINTABLE

Published April 18, 2015 by MisMandie

So Em and I have been working on her counting by 2’s and she was doing well but would get stuck after 20…. She just wasn’t seeing the pattern.  So I made up a chart to help her see the way the numbers change.  It was a hit she had that great AhHa! moment.  So I took it a step further and made this sheet to see if she could fill in the blanks and, just like that, she got it all filled in and started to recite them all the way to 100.  First while looking at the page then again with it flipped over.

We spent weeks trying orally to explain it to no avail.  Now, after only about 30 min seeing it in this format she has it down.

I couldn’t be more proud of my big girl! ❤

Give it a try with your little ones and comment here to let me know if not helps!!

Next up 5’s!!

What you will need:

  • 1 Balloon
  • Playdough (great use for those tiny little party favor sizes if you have any lying around as I did)
  • Sharpie

What to do:

  • Stretch the neck of your balloon open and stuff with playdough till you are satisfied with the size and fullness
  • Tip: Bowl up the balloon part way and it sill all fall into place nicely if it is stuck in the neck
  • Squeeze out all of the air and ties the baloon
  • Tip: If you end up with an air pocket take a sweing needle and poke a tiny hole as close to the tie as possible and work the air out
  • Draw on any fun face or design you like (optional but fun!)

What you will need:

  • Picture Frame – Remove Glass and Backing (I had one with a broken glass)
  • Ribbons (any sizes and styles)
  • Hot Glue Gun

What to do:

Turn your frame face down and decide on your ribbon layout.  You can run them horizontally or vertically depending on your preference.  Once you have chosen your layout glue all of your ribbons to the right side of your frame (the lip on the inside of my frame was very thin so I used an unsharpened pencil to push it down into the glue.  you will want to place glue on the inside lip (what the glass rested against) up the side and then on the back as shown in the photos.  Keep in mind you will want to trim your ribbons so that the edges don’t show when you turn it over.  Once you have tacked down all the ribbons on one side of the frame begin on the other side being sure to pull them as taught as possible.  Once dry you can add on your hair pins and hang in your angle’s room! 🙂
